Edna May Buxton (nee Cooke) (1905 - 10 April 1969) was a Winnipeg woman and Welsh immigrant.

Early life

Edna was born in Wales in 1905 to John Cooke and Rose Cooke, the second of seven children.

Following the October 1913 Senghenydd colliery disaster, she moved with her family at age 8 to Transcona, Manitoba, which later became a suburb of Winnipeg, in Canada.

Marriage and children

Edna married Ronald Buxton (1902 - 1958) and had two daughters, who they raised in Winnipeg:
