From Bill Currie, 8 July 2018: "Many years ago I saw a document (deed, tax bill, mortgage?) that indicated the original value/cost of the 938 Byng Place house was about 3800 or 3900 (1941) dollars. A Google lookup indicates $3900 in 1941 would be equal to about $64000 today after inflation. Be interesting to know what this house would sell for today. I suspect it would look like a good investment (even accounting for taxes, upkeep, etc.) considering you could have lived in the investment rent free."

"This is the Property Assessment Value of 938 Byng Place in 2017 that was owned by Jack & Lucy Currie . This was right next to my Dad and Jean Currie at 934 Byng Place. Bill, Doug & Ron lived there for a number of years. One of them should know when they moved to another address in Fort Garry? then Ellesmere St in Winnipeg and finally to Thunder Bay.
