Nancy Greenwald is a retired American teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing who lived for about 30 years in Thunder Bay, Ontario.

Early life

Nancy was born in St. Louis.

She attended Clayton High School

Education and Career

Nancy studied at three universities:

  • Washington University in St. Louis.
  • Northwestern University, just north of Chicago
  • Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario

She worked as a teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing in St. Louis, Evanston, Toronto, and Thunder Bay.

Later, she was a certified Auditory- Verbal Therapist in the Cochlear Implant Program at the Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto, ON.


Marriage and family

She moved in about 1980 with her then-husband, Donald Hood, to Thunder Bay, Ontario, where they raised their two children:

She later divorced her husband in about 1992.

Later life

In about 2005 she moved from Thunder Bay back to St. Louis.

As of 2019 she lives in Toronto, Ontario.
