Joanne Foot
Joanne Foot is a Canadian lawyer.
Early life
Foot was born to Rosalind and Den Foot. Her mother is the sister of Lucy Currie.
Education
She earned her LLB, Law from Western University from 1978 to 1981.
Career
She was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1983, following which she clerked for the Justices of the Court of Appeal of Ontario.
Joanne then went into private practice, specializing in corporate law. She was partner at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP from June 1987 to November 2010. She was then partner at Miller Thomson LLP from 2010 to 2012.
She currently serves as member of the Administrative Penalty Tribunal at the City of Toronto, on a 4-year term from 26 May 2017 to 27 May 2021.
