Years of experience: 5 Ms. Telles-Langdon has been working as a Junior Geological Engineer-in-Training with BGC Engineering since 2014. She received her B.A.Sc. Honours Geological Engineering from University of Waterloo in June, 2014. Throughout the cooperative education program, Ms. Telles-Langdon worked in various areas of industry and government including mining, federal government, and consulting. Since graduation Ms. Telles-Langdon has gained experience in hazard and risk assessment for debris flood and debris flow hazards, geotechnical site investigation including soil logging, rock logging, and instrumentation installation, construction monitoring, and tailings facility management (dam design, dam slope stability, tailings deposition modeling). Following is a summary of select projects in which Ms. Telles-Langdon has been involved: Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Co., Limited, Manitoba – Flin Flon Tailings Impoundment System (Current since Feb 2017) Ongoing mine tailings facility management operations, including: dam stability analysis, dam design, geotechnical site investigation, instrumentation installation and monitoring, construction monitoring and materials quality control testing, and tailings deposition modeling.
