Studio One Dance (2001 - present) is an elite dance studio in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada founded by Lisa Fedoruk.

It has about a dozen teachers, including two of Lisa's daughters, Rachel and Lauren.

As of 2020 it's located at 38 Court Street South.

Our Thunder Bay facility offers three floors of space well equipped to accommodate all dancers’ and parents’ needs. All dance studios feature Marley dance flooring with full length mirrors. Our kinder studio on the main floor has a viewing window for parents to watch their little ones in action.

Lisa Fedoruk

Lisa began her dance training at age 5 in Thunder Bay with Silvia Horn School of Dance. She studied all genres of dance and at age fourteen she was accepted and trained at Walnut Hill School of Performing Arts where she pursued intensive ballet and modern training. Upon returning to Thunder Bay she continued to study dance and soon discovered her love and passion for teaching.

In 2014, Lisa received her Fellowship in Ballet with the British Association Teachers of Dancing. She is a registered teacher with the Royal Academy of Dance and has a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She continues to expand her knowledge in dance and injury prevention and has taken courses with Irene Dowd (National Ballet of Canada), Donna Krasnow and Lisa Howell (Level I Teacher Training Course). In 2016, Lisa attended the En Avant R.A.D. Teacher Conference in Toronto and received her certification in Progressing Ballet Technique developed by Marie Walton–Mahon.

Lisa has been the rehearsal mistress for the Minnesota Ballet’s Production of The Nutcracker since 2005. Her students have also had the opportunity to perform in the touring production of The Wizard of Oz as well as Coppelia with the Minnesota Ballet. Her ballet students have taken many prestigious awards over the years including the Junior and Senior Tray at the Lakehead Festival of Music and the Arts. Her examination students have won both Junior and Senior Ballet titles at the Trixie Hardy Theatre Dance Scholarship (B.A.T.D.) competition held annually in Toronto. Her students have been invited numerous times to perform with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra.

Lisa opened Studio One Dance in 2001. She continues to strive for excellence with her students and is extremely proud of their achievement of winning Top Studio Award Thunderstruck Canada in 2014 and 2015. She is looking forward to another great season of teaching and sharing her love of ballet with her students.
