Ernest John "Ernie" Cooke (19 April 1908 - 30 April 2004) was the only son of John Cooke. He had five sisters.
Early life
Ernie was born 19 April 1908 in Wales to John Cooke and Rose True. He actually has the same name as his father ("Ernest John Cooke") but since his father was already referred to by his middle name "John", it was presumably only natural to distinguish Ernie by using the first name.
Marriage and family
Ernie married Gladys Emily Whittington (died 19 November 1992) on 26 November 1936 and had:
- Lloyd Stanley "Cookie" (born 6 October 1937), who lives as of 2018 with his wife Jean in St. John's, Newfoundland
- Marjorie Eleanor "Marge" (Bartsch) (born 23 April 1939)
