Lena Clara "Clare" Morrell (nee Newman) (27 May 1895 - 1954) was the only daughter of William Newman.
Early life
In 1914 she went to "Grace Hospital" in Detroit for some reason, possibly to visit her brother Clint (Earl Clinton Newman) who had left home just 2 years earlier.
In 1921 she is NOT living with her father, but instead as a lodger, in Winnipeg, employed as a stenographer.
Marriage and Family
She married Clifford Joseph Morrell (2 October 1897 - ?) on 23 August 1923 in Essex County, Ontario.
At the time she was residing in Winnipeg, and he was a clerk living at 328 Caron Avenue in Windsor.
They had one child, Harold Patrick Morrell, who went by "Patrick", born 5 April 1928, died in 1995.
In 1953, she is listed as living with her husband and son, at 5708 Riverside Drive, Windsor, Ontario. She has no occupation listed. Her husband is listed as "supervisor", and her son is a "bank clerk".
