Ernest John "Ernie" Cooke (19 April 1908 - 30 April 2004) was the only son of John Cooke. He had five sisters.

Early life

Ernie was born 19 April 1908 in Wales. He actually has the same name as his father ("Ernest John Cooke") but since his father was already referred to by his middle name "John", it was presumably only natural to distinguish Ernie by using the first name.

Marriage and family

Ernie married Gladys Emily Whittington (died 19 November 1992) on 26 November 1936 and had:

  • Lloyd Stanley Cooke (born 6 October 1937), who lives as of 2018 with his wife Jean in St. John's, Newfoundland
  • Marjorie Eleanor Cooke (born 23 April 1939)
  • Robert John Cooke (born 29 December 1940)

By 1996, he was living in Mississauga, on 1300 Bloor St. E. 905-624-2966. He died 30 April 2004 in St. John's Newfoundland.
