Lisa Laco

Lisa Laco (died 2021) was a Canadian CBC radio broadcaster, known as the host of the Superior Morning programme on CBC Thunder Bay for 25 years.

Career

Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, Laco began her CBC career there before coming to Thunder Bay in 1992. Over 25 years she hosted the CBC Thunder Bay morning show and conducted thousands of interviews with community members from all walks of life.

Laco retired from Superior Morning in 2020. She received the City of Thunder Bay's Good Citizen Award in 2018 for her work with the Regional Food Distribution Association, Thunder Bay Victim Services, the Salvation Army, the Thunder Bay Art Gallery, and the Raag Rung Music Circle. She established a bursary fund for students at Dennis Franklin Cromarty High School.

Death

Laco died in 2021.
