Margaret Ruth Page

Honourary Lieutenant-Colonel Margaret Ruth Page (died 3 March 2011) was a Canadian nursing leader and public health educator who built her career in northwestern Ontario.
Early life and education
Page was born in Logan Township, Perth County, Ontario, the daughter of John Alexander and Charlotte Maud Drummond (née Sinclair). She learned nursing at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, and subsequently obtained a Certificate in Public Health Nursing, a Diploma of Advanced Public Health Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Master of Public Health.
Career
Page began her nursing career in Cochrane, Ontario, then joined the Ontario Society of Crippled Children as District Nurse for Kirkland Lake, Cobourg, and Fort William. She later worked for the Ontario Department of Public Welfare in Port Arthur as a field worker and Welfare Administrator for Shuniah and Neebing Municipalities.
She served as Nursing Instructor in the Schools of Nursing at Port Arthur General and McKellar General Hospitals throughout Northwestern Ontario. She rose to Supervisor of Public Health Nursing at the Port Arthur and District Health Unit, then to Assistant Director of Public Health Nursing at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
