Melody Newman

Melody Ann Newman (born (1971-04-05)5 April 1971) is a high-school science teacher in the Prince George area of British Columbia and the youngest child of David Harold Newman and Lois Jean Newman.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Saskatchewan.[1]

Marriage and family

On 27 July 2000 she married Russell "Russ" Dawson, a biologist at the University of Northern British Columbia whose research as an ornithologist includes long-running nest-box studies and the banding of tree swallows, chickadees, and other birds.[1] They live in the Prince George area and have three children:

  • Alexandra Sage Dawson (born c. 2005)
  • Samuel Dawson (born c. 2007)
  • Rachel Lilly Dawson (born c. 2009)[1][2]
