Williamina Bessie Coulter (nee McNaughton) ((1888-01-17)17 January 1888 – 18 July 1948(1948-07-18) (aged 60)) was a Canadian woman and wife of Joseph Coulter.

Early life

She was born to James McNaughton (1853 - 1914) and Mary McCormick (1856 - about 1948).

Marriage and family

In 1911, aged 23, Williamina married Joseph Coulter, a 40-year-old minister for the United Church of Canada, in Edmonton. Together they had seven children, including Ruth.

Death

Williamina died of complications during a gall bladder surgery on 18 July 1948, aged 58.

According to Ruth Newman as told to her grandson Michael Currie in 2003, after this death, Williamina's mother Mary McCormick died soon afterwards aged about 90, "of a broken heart".
