J.B. Adams was a counsellor at law in Genesee, New York, in the Thunder Bay District of Ontario.

The estate was probated in the Thunder Bay District surrogate court in 1901 and inventoried at $2,500.00. He died testate, leaving a will, and was survived by four children.[1]
